Congratulations to 6th Grade Social Studies Teacher, Mr. Hernan Guerrero, for being selected as Teacher Of The Week by Noticias RGV! We are very lucky to have Mr. Guerrero as part of our Bulldog Family at Lyford CISD! Mr. Hernan Guerrero, a third-year teacher at Lyford Middle School, strives to be a positive and constructive role model for his students and colleagues. He currently teaches 6th grade social studies, while coaching Football, Track, and UIL. In addition to his teaching and coaching duties, Mr. Guerrero serves as a Student Mentor, Teacher Mentor, and 6th Grade Team Lead. Mr. Guerrero was selected as the Lyford Middle School Teacher of The Year for the 2021-2022 School Year. One of Mr. Guerrero’s greatest initiatives thus far at Lyford CISD is the advocation and initiation of Flocabulary, an instructional technology program that utilizes videos and music sing-a-longs to promote literacy and spark creativity in the classroom. Thanks to Mr. Guerrero, this program is now used by teachers district-wide, broadening the methods of learning for students at Lyford CISD!
